Family Ministries

A Note from Pastor Jeff:

It is hard to believe that it is already May. At the beginning of the year my family and I started our journey from Michigan to Florida, and time seems to be something that has slipped away quickly. There have been many changes that have occurred here at Community Church in this short period, and we are very excited on where we feel God is leading us.

After many long hours and intensive work, the chapel has been transformed from an old traditional church into a modern worship center, fitting for the contemporary service. Many new visitors have started to attend the service, resulting in record attendance. It is evident that God is at work in our church and with us as we try to reach out to the community and younger generation. Each Sunday as I look at the excitement on our attendees’ faces and see them praising and worshipping our God, I know we are on the right track. Children’s church has also noticed the impact of the new families, as we have been steady in numbers over the past few weeks. Also with the start of Sunday school we are seeing new faces and programs added here at Community Church.

We have just finished up our series on “In It To Win It!!!” and will be starting another series entitled “What Are You Invested In???” Both of these series will help evaluate what is really important in life and help illustrate not only the importance of following God, but also some tools to help along the journey.

As our banner in the contemporary service says, “Expect a miracle” and no doubt this is exactly what we are doing. We realize that these effects can only be from God and that we are merely the vessels that He chooses to work through in order to carry out His plans.

There are many great things occurring here at our church and much more that will be occurring in the near future. Starting in May, our children’s church program will no longer be called “Uptown” and will be changed to “Kids Klub House”. We still need helpers for the Kids Klub House program, Sunday school teachers, praise team members, camera operators, and sound and power point technicians. As always, it takes many hands to run these programs and any help would be greatly appreciated.

May we all continue to grow on this journey and work together to further God’s kingdom. As our mission statement says, “Community Church – A body of Christian believers dedicated to bringing individuals into fellowship with God and serving a world in need.” Let us not do church but rather be the church.

Respectfully Yours, Pastor Jeff
